Typography Rules Every Website Should Follow

People scan websites, they don't read them. Your typography determines whether they scan successfully or bounce.
Four rules: limit to 2-3 fonts, create clear visual hierarchy (H1 48-72px, H2 32-40px, body 16-18px), use line height of 1.5-1.6x, and ensure sufficient contrast (4.5:1 minimum).
